Boğaziçi University’s philosophy students and the Ph.D.

A story about 189* of this department’s graduates

Stephen Voss | Nov 10, 2022

This story has two chapters. The first chapter tells of alumni of this university’s philosophy department who as of 2018 were enrolled in Ph.D. programs. The second chapter tells of department alumni who as of 2018 had received the Ph.D. degree

The story has two large morals. The first concerns the quality of the philosophical education these people have received in this university. The second and more important concerns the quality of these people. They can be proud of their department; it can be still more proud of them.

(* Note: one person is mentioned in both chapters: she has earned a PhD and is pursuing a second one. For an overview of all theses, see this database.)
